Pseudo piety in some places is a church hit;
Those congregations lift one hand in devout worship
But strike a brother with the other;
They state they’ve got holiness as if they do
While their tongues deliver
Murder as love and lies as truth mmm mmm
For everything they fast and pray
Seeking answers from Jesus their way
And not by examining the Scriptures;
They make it an exclusive club
Where only those who believe their rules
Are the ones whom God approves

They walk the way of world religions
With all kinds of devotions and restrictions -
A holiness by men’s mind
And not by Biblical definitions
It’s religiosity at its worse
Got nothing to do with living godly;
It’s just a devil digression
To give a fake impression
Of a walk that’s sanctified
But it’s not the holy of Christ

But piety that sanctifies

But a complete walk in Christ
As an entirely new creation
